Client: Designer Sewing Center Role: Graphic Designer Brief: Design a logo for a sewing company in Indiana that will reflect the companies image. Process: Created a logo in Adobe Illustrator for Designer Sewing Center. I started by sketching rough concepts and refining them based on the store’s identity. I communicated with the owner throughout the design process to ensure the logo aligned with their vision. The initial concept featured a simple sewing needle and thread, but the owner wanted a design that felt more dynamic and visually engaging. After exploring different ideas, I incorporated a mannequin element, which resonated with the brand. Following a few revisions, I finalized a polished, professional logo that represented their business.
Promotional Materials
Role: Graphic Designer & Copywriter Brief: Design promotional materials for sewing classes to get people into the store. Process: Created a promotional poster for a sewing class program. I worked as both the graphic designer and copywriter, crafting an engaging layout and compelling messaging. The design features a vibrant color scheme, eye-catching typography, and celebratory elements like fireworks to convey excitement. I carefully structured the content to highlight key class benefits, using checkmarks for easy readability. The featured image of a happy sewing student reinforces the program’s welcoming and hands-on nature. Through a combination of strong visuals and persuasive copy, this poster effectively promotes the class and encourages participation.
